Hi, thanks for stopping by! My name is Carrie and I am a young wife living in sunny Southern California with my husband. I love ice cream (especially green tea) , nature, and birds. My husband is currently in the middle of his medical residency program and likes to keep a low profile. He will be known as Dr. J throughout this blog :p

Like many women reading this, I am just trying to navigate through life while figuring out what it means to be a wife and how to best support my crazy busy sleep deprived husband. I do take comfort in my perfect savior Jesus Christ though. He is my God, my rock, and the author and perfecter or my faith!

Heart behind the blog: This is a place where moments of faith, life, and creativity are shared and celebrated. I would also like to carve out a unique space where Christian women (wives, fiancés, girlfriends, sisters, etc.) with loved ones in the medical field could connect and uplift one another with God’s truth ,as well as learn how we can better support these loved ones in their professional medical journey.

Why the name ” Charting Along”?

In the medical world, professionals chart to keep detailed records of a patient’s medical history, as well as important facts and progress of his or her condition. A patient’s history, current condition, test results, and potential future treatment plans are all carefully documented. A carefully written detailed chart not only offers the team clarity and insight on the condition of the patient but also important facts to look out for.

I hope to carefully “chart” my experiences, precious moments, and lessons I learn from life and God so that I can look back and constantly be reminded of God’s faithfulness working in my life and see my personal growth. I pray that these documented experiences and moments could serve as some kind of encouragement and support to anyone who stumbles upon my blog.

Much Love and Joy,
